ONLINE CAMPING REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED!!!

HOWEVER, you may pay in cash at the gate to Thunder Island, starting at 9am on Friday, August 18th.  There is no registration or fee to attend PCT DAYS each day!  Registration and fees only apply to attendees (thru-hikers included) who want to camp overnight at the event site.  Event staff/volunteers and sponsors may camp for free.  See below for all the info you need.

Due to an increase of past issues and liability, alcohol is no longer permitted in the camping area on Thunder Island, this will be enforced and monitored by event staff and security for the safety and enjoyment of event attendees.

For Tent Camping on Thunder Island:

1.  Overnight camping on Thunder Island is open to the public for $15 per person, per night or $30 per person for Friday & Saturday nights.  A limited number of camp spaces might be still available during the dates of the event…if so, camp fees are cash only at the gate.  Due to the unpredictably of hiking schedules and no easy way to verify hikers online, 2017 PCT Thru-hikers will be able to pay a discounted rate of $5 per person, per night or $10 per person for Friday & Saturday nights.  All camping fees paid by thru-hikers will be donated to the Pacific Crest Trail Association!  Camp sites are first-come, first-served, but don’t worry, there isn’t a bad camping spot…you’ll be amazed by the beautiful views from Thunder Island!

2.  Upon arrival to the Marine Park, you will be directed where to park by event staff, (parking is free and is only a 5 minute walk from Thunder Island.)  Camping check-in is at the footbridge to Thunder Island.  Please bring a copy of your reservation and a photo ID, which will be checked at the gate to Thunder Island by event staff, (who will also have your name and reservation info on a list.)  Upon checking in, you will receive a wristband so you aren’t hassled for re-entry and so we know who is allowed to camp.  The gate to the island will be monitored 24 hours per day by staff to answer questions and for the safety of event attendees.

For Car-Camping in the Marine Park:

1.  Car camping is a flat rate of $40 per vehicle for Friday and/or Saturday nights in the PCT DAYS Car-Camp zone, which is located on a grass area in the Marine Park.  Due to limited space, no more than 4 people per vehicle and attendees must camp inside of their vehicle, (no tents or sleeping outside next to the vehicle.)  No hookups are available or large RVs beyond 25 feet, (please see below for alternate RV parking / camping.)  No car-camping is permitted in the parking lots of the Marine Park except for the designated area for overnight use.

2.  Upon arrival to the Marine Park, check in with event staff at the “Y” of the road for directions to your parking/camping space, (just after driving under the bridge.)
